TOM + JAS

Tom and Jas are true to their Cornish roots and have enough sea glass to fill a small house. But there were two pieces they’d collected together early in their relationship that Tom wanted to turn into something special.
Like many of the best things in life, the beauty of sea glass lies in its imperfections. One stone, in particular, had a series of ridges that became the inspiration for both rings, tying the designs together. I used the texture of Tom’s sea glass to create an imprint in Jas’s ring, and vice versa, so each carries a little piece of the other.
The contrast between the two designs is what makes them so special. The ridged texture runs continuously around Tom’s ring, while on Jas’s, it draws the eye around the setting, following the natural movement of the stone.
I’ll always have a soft spot for jewellery that holds a story, and these two were such a joy to make.
